Breast Cancer Ribbon

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During this month, pink becomes more than the traditional color for girls. It becomes the color of support and impact.

Corporations churn out pink ribbon products – paper, cell phone cases, yogurt and more to help raise funds for the battle against breast cancer.

Many national and local breast cancer awareness events, walks and races take center stage. If you haven’t made an impact yet, there’s still time to go pink.

Who: The Susan G. Komen Foundation Memphis-MidSouth Race for the Cure

What: 5K race and 1-mile walk.

When: Saturday, October 29 – race begins @ 8:00 am

Where: The Shops of Saddle Creek, Germantown

More: Individuals and teams can still register to participate in the race, or simply sign up to make a donation or volunteer

Visit komenmemphis.org for more details about the race and other related events.
