Thursday, October 20, the Memphis Redbirds are encouraging fans to join them at AutoZone Park to watch the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Texas Rangers during their 2011 World Series Party at 6:00 p.m. presented by the Commercial Appeal and CA Mobile.
Season ticket holders have a chance to renew their seats for 2012 and receive a free buffet wristband and one drink ticket for each ticket renewed. All other fans will receive free admittance to watch the game at AutoZone Park and can purchase the party buffet for $7.00 in advance and $10.00 (cash only) per person on the day of the game. Children 12 and under are free. The buffet includes Rendezvous BBQ, King Cotton hot dogs, Turner Dairy ice cream, and Coco Cola soft drinks.
Game two will be shown on a big screen located on the Club Level as the Redbirds support former 2010 and 2011 Redbirds Adron Chambers, Allen Craig, Daniel Descalso, Jon Jay, Lance Lynn and Fernando Salas. Other activities offered during the World Series Party include batting practice in the indoor cages, self-guided tours of the clubhouse and dugout, and inflatables in the plaza (weather permitting). There will also be a silent auction and door prizes throughout the game. The Redbirds team store, the Backstop Baseball Emporium, will open at 6:00 p.m. as well.
