The “Memphis” sign that stood high amongst the Pyramid in Downtown Memphis, TN was removed Thursday in preparation for the Pyramid’s conversion into a Bass Pro Shops (Outdoor World) Indoor World.
The sign was taken down by crane as part of the $215 million plan to turn The Pyramid into Bass Pro Shops super store, seeking to improve the nearby convention center district and riverfront.
Further demolition and work is planned for later this month.
